Colour affects temperature more than anywhere else
Bare feet, full sun, wet and dry. This is the one area where we actively steer people away from the darkest finishes.

Sealing is not optional here
Salt, chlorine and constant wetting are exactly what unsealed concrete cannot handle. Budget for the reseal cycle from the start.

Timing around the season
Cure time means the pool area is out of action for a stretch. Autumn and winter are the sensible months to do it.
