- “It is plain grey and looks like a slab”
- The easiest thing we fix. A pattern like herringbone or Sydney tile makes it read as laid pavers, with none of the weeds, ants or settling that real pavers bring.
- “It grows mould in the shaded parts”
- Unsealed concrete holds water, and water is what mould needs. Cleaning and sealing stops it taking hold and makes the area far easier to keep clean.

Think about the whole flow
Patio, path and pool surround finished as one surface reads far better than three different treatments meeting at awkward joins.

Furniture off, and stay off
The area needs to be clear through the work and the cure. Plan for the barbecue and setting to be somewhere else for a week.

Reseal every couple of years
Outdoor entertaining areas cop sunscreen, food, drink and weather. A wash and reseal keeps them looking new.
