Concrete resurfacing around Liverpool

Liverpool and the suburbs around it hold some of the oldest residential concrete we work on, and it is where resurfacing makes its strongest case: the slabs were poured properly decades ago and only the surface has given up.

Drive the established streets of Liverpool, Casula or Moorebank and you see it everywhere: driveways from the seventies and eighties, structurally sound, surfaces worn back to exposed stone, stained by decades of cars, or carrying a stencil pattern that dates the whole frontage. Replacing concrete like that is paying to demolish something that still works.

Resurfacing grinds those decades off and lays a new decorative surface over the sound slab underneath. A few days of work, and the oldest-looking thing about the house becomes the newest.

The old-stencil problem, and its fix

A lot of south west driveways got stencilled concrete in the nineties, and those patterns have not aged well. It is our single most common job: grind, repair, then either a clean plain colour or a current pattern like herringbone. The Chester Hill driveway in our gallery shows what that transformation looks like on an established home.

For interiors, Liverpool's older homes often sit on slabs that polish beautifully, because older mixes tend to carry generous aggregate that shows well under a full grind.

Very likely. Old concrete was often poured thicker than modern minimums, and if it has survived this long without major movement it is usually an excellent base. We check condition at the quote and tell you straight.
